It seems Hyundai wasn’t kidding after-all when they revealed the images the Palisade N, which at the time was declared as an April Fool’s joke according to Auto Herald of Korea’s reporting on January 4, 2021.

On April Fool's Day in 2020, Hyundai Motor Company drew attention by releasing the images of the Palisade large SUV, the hydrogen-electric car Nexo and even a concept car Prophecy in the high-performance N brand attire.

If You Wish Hard Enough, It May Come True..

Hyundai Motor Company released three models decorated with the full N-treatment on the official Instagram channel at the time, seriously asking for people’s opinion, April Fool's prank aside. The response was overwhelmingly positive on the Palisade. People showed immense reaction over Palisade-N’s large wheels, N-specific brakes, lower aero parts painted in intense red, and sharp side skirts and quad muffler tips.

Since then, people pretty much forgotten about it, until recently that is when it was revealed that it could lead to actual mass production. Car Advice, an Australian automotive media outlet predicted that the possibility of Palisade joining the N sub-brand was high, citing comments made by Hyundai’s prominent figures such as Albert Bierman, head of R & D, and Lorenz Glav, head of global product management when the executives pointed at the possibility of extending N treatment to all product ranges including SUVs.

CarAdvice goes a step further and said that the Palisade-N is to be equipped with a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 mounted on the Genesis GV80.

Can this April Fool’s joke become a dream come true for all enthusiastic soccer moms all over the world?
