When Kia fomuluated the EV strategy, the dedicated EVs such as the EV would be known as the EV1~9 series, while the derivated models would be branded as EK(or IK)1~8. Therefore, if K9 or K8 would be electrified it would be called EK8 (IK9) or EK9 (IK9). However, as far as we know, there is no specific plan to turn the large sedans into EVs. But if they did, it would most likely utilize the e-G80 internals.
Santa Fe would grow to the size of the current Palisade and the next-gen Sorento would also be enlarged to the size of the Telluride. So they will remain as equals as is the case now.
As for the Stinger, there are many rumors, from hydrogen powered hybrid EV super car to being slotted in as the EV8 electric sedan.
